Earlier this year, Daragh McDonnell joined us at ProVision Vehicle Cameras as Chief Technology Officer, to further develop and enhance our technology platform. Daragh has over 25 years of experience in software and hardware development, sensor technologies and cloud solutions. He has worked in various sectors including gaming, social networking, and consumer health.
Daragh started his career after graduating from UCD with a Masters degree in Image Processing. In the late 90s, he joined Segasoft as a software engineer where he developed solutions for multiplayer online gaming.
He then joined MediaLab Europe as a research associate, where he worked on virtual environments controlled by biometric inputs.
In the mid-2000s, Daragh founded his own company which created a ground-breaking stress management solution for mobile devices, consisting of a wireless, stress-measuring biosensor, a suite of mobile apps and a cloud platform.
Subsequently, Daragh architected and implemented a scalable location-based social networking platform, consisting of an app for smart devices and a cloud-based backend service.
In March, Daragh came to ProVision for a new challenge. Here, he is leading our team of software and hardware developers to continue innovating and building on our CameraMatics platform. The roadmap promises to be as exciting as it is ground-breaking, and we look forward to bringing these innovations to you in the near future.
